As part of our learning about Autumn we went on an Autumn walk in Larches Wood across from school.

In Term 2 we have been learning about spring, we have been out on wellie walks in the local woods looking for signs of spring and we have planted some tulip bulbs so we can watch them grow in our outdoor area.

We have been thinking about the animals and people that live in cold countries.  We have explored making and playing in igloos, small world play with polar bears and penguins and even playing outside in the snow!

We have been enjoying Earth Education sessions in our school grounds. We have been learning about team work and building shelters.  We enjoy being outside even though it’s a bit cold and muddy at the moment.

We visited Beacon Fell for a spring walk to observe the spring flowers and leaves beginning to bud. There was still snow on the ground but we found some signs of new life!

The potatoes are planted! We will watch them grow over the next few months and make sure they are watered well.
