We are seeking an experienced and ambitious qualified Teacher of the Deaf to be our Deputy Headteacher at this very successful primary special school for deaf children, judged outstanding at its last two inspections. Our school is well established in the local and regional community, and works particularly closely with families. Pupils attend the school from across Lancashire and the North West.Royal Cross is a small and lively school offering a caring environment with each child valued. We are enthusiastic about learning through enjoyment and dedicated to meeting the individual needs of pupils, including the ability to communicate in whatever way works best. We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, who understands the specific needs of pupils in a primary school for deaf children and is committed to an inclusive communication environment as the key to progress and well-being.

We are seeking an ambitious and energetic professional with experience of leading teams, monitoring teaching and learning, and with experience of successfully leading improvement and raising standards.
