Pupils

At Royal Cross, we value the contribution that all our pupils offer to making our school an even better place to learn. We actively encourage pupil participation in school life through various roles and responsibilities. Every child has a voice and can share their ideas through School Council and classroom discussions.

The School Council gives pupils a forum to share these opinions with the Headteacher. A new school council is chosen each year and has representatives from every class from Reception to Y6. The council meets each week and will often ask the Headteacher to attend.

All pupils have roles and responsibilities and are actively encouraged to develop independance and to support each other across all aspects of school life.

Each Friday afternoon there is a special celebration assembly with each class presenting a Star Pupil for whole school recognition. This is the time when children's achievements across all aspects of school life are celebrated and school team points shared.
